Camping Trip

A good friend of mine invited us to go on their annual family camping trip. They have property in Eastern Washington in the Twisp area and go over every other weekend in the summer and time throughout the rest of the year. Every year they have a huge family camp out, her husband is one of seven siblings. We were really looking forward to it because we knew it would be fun our kids are the same age and her and I "roll" the same and our mutual friend was going to with her family.

There aren't too many friends I would go vacationing with or with again except these two. It was a great weekend with lots of fun and lots of laughs!

Friday when we arrived we set up camp up and headed on over to the main mingling area for some cocktails, fun, food, on conversation. It was a great evening of people showing up all through out the day / night. The next day there were probably at least thirty or so people there.

The guys all went golfing that morning and Michelle was getting everything ready for the scavenger hunt that she created for both the big kids and little kids. Everyone had a blast and especially enjoyed all the prizes. We spent some time down at the river cooling off afterwards.

It was a fun day with great company. I'm looking forward to going back in September for our wine tasting trip. We are also going to take a day or so and camp just the family in Entiat. All the kids loved seeing each other and playing. I don't know why they wouldn't the six of them are becoming great friends. It's been so much fun to watch all of them together.

This was our first time tenting it since having kids. I really can't remember if Alyssa has slept in a tent or not but every time we have gone since having them we have got a cabin. Even though it's a lot of work and stuff I'm glad that it all went well in the tent and look forward to many more.
