Our "perfect" family

On last Friday Cory and I went in for our ultrasound which took for ever. It was 2 1/2 hours long of pictures of Baby Deuce being taken. Gosh with Alyssa it was like ten minutes!
Than after about an hour and half the tech finally asked if we wanted to know what we are having and of course we said, YES! He told us 100% we are having a BOY!
We are sooooo excited and can't wait and he is perfectly healthy! After the tech was done we had to wait for the doctor to come in and get a few more pics that the tech was unable to get. When the doctor was there the baby was waving and sucking his thumb and what looked like he was smiling and had his legs completely spread. There is absolutely no doubt what sex he is!
We are getting the bedroom all cleaned out and ready to decorate and I can't wait to get it finished it will be so cute!
Alyssa is doing well and getting all geared up for Halloween. We have a couple things to go to on Friday and than Saturday I think we will be staying home and maybe taking her out in the neighborhood and handing out candy. Fun times ahead!

Snag in plans

Well we didn't go to the pumpkin patch like we were going to because of all the rain this week. It was OK with me since we went to one the week before but we did have a very busy week. Grandma Gail came up and spent some time with us and we enjoyed every moment of it!
We went shopping and Alyssa got a bunch of wonderful clothes and had a great lunch. Alyssa was a champ during it all. She was so tired and ready for her nap and we just kept her going but the little bugger refused to sleep when she got home. So her nap that day consisted of maybe a whole ten minutes or so.
On Thursday I took her to get her picture taken at Kiddie Kandids. I love that place, I think I like it so much because you get the pictures right away! I put her in her Halloween costume and it was so much fun! Afterwards she walked around the store and played with the toys with her grandma and was such a trooper.
Baby Deuce is doing good very strong heartbeat and I have only gained 4lbs the entire pregnancy so far! I'm impressed but not so much cause I also know I was a little over weight to begin with but am happy needless to say. Today we are going in for our ultrasound so we should hopefully find out if it's a boy or girl and how everything is looking. We are so excited. I will keep you all posted!

Carving the pumpkins

On Sunday we decided it was time to carve the pumpkins! I was actually excited to let Alyssa get all messy and for those who don't know me that's a big deal! Nicole came over to join us for carving and dinner. We started to carve and had Alyssa sitting up there with us and she wanted nothing to do with the pumpkins she did not like it at all! So Nicole and I carved away and there was much debate on which one was better but I think deep down she knows which one is ;)
Afterwards Nicole baked some pumpkin seeds, which were yummy, even Alyssa like the seeds. Then we put Alyssa in her Halloween outfit and let her run around for awhile. She was so funny! I can't wait for her Halloween party's she has coming up it will be a blast!
For dinner, I just have to say, I made the best butternut squash ravioli with a brown sugar sauce ever! It was delicious!!! Not that anyone cares what we had but I wanted to try something new and oh my gosh it was delicious!

Pumpkin patch round 1

Yesterday Cory and I went to Carleton Farms, which is right down the road from us, and got our pumpkins. We decided to go yesterday since it was supposed to be the last nice day for awhile. Alyssa had fun looking at all the farm animals and got a little scared when she went to touch the pigs and they started snorting at her. We were lame and just got our pumpkins out of the bins instead of going to choose them in the field. We figured this would probably be our last year of doing that.
This weekend Nicole is going to come over and we are going to carve them, our yearly tradition. Next week we will go to another pumpkin farm with kids from our MOSS group. I love this time of year!
I was excited because Alyssa never keeps the barrettes in her hair but I found some small rubber bands that she was actually OK with. I wished I wouldn't have already got her costume I would have her be Pebbles from the Flintstones.

Catch up!

I know I have said I wouldn't get so far behind but I have once again.

We have had a busy last two weeks. A couple weeks ago we attended the Silvertips home opener game. It was so much fun! Cory, Alyssa and I went with Cory's dad who came up for the night to go with us. Alyssa did great. I was worried how she would be since she got up from her nap around 3pm and didn't get into bed until around 10. She was a champ though. She started fussing a little and I took her to walk around and she met another little girl who gave her a hug and she got to meet Lincoln their mascot. The Silvertips won the game in OT and had a shootout. It was probably one of the best hockey games I have attended. I can't wait to go to more this season.
Later that week we had our weekly playgroup and I got together with some friends whom I hadn't seen forever! We had a great time we met at the Rock Restaurant and had lunch and afterwards went to Dawns house so I could see it. Her and her fiancee just bought it. It's a very nice house and I like her plans for it. Im so happy for her and Ryan such a fun time! Our other friend Mandy was there too with her son Owen. Him and Alyssa had fun, I think, playing at lunch and entertaining each other. It was great to see Mandy because she is pregnant and we are two weeks apart! After going to Dawn's house we decided to go to the Supermall and walk around for a little while. Mandy didn't join us because Owen wasn't feeling well but hopefully next time she will be able to join us!
Later that week all of us ended up getting colds. It sucked! I was trying hard not to take anything because of the pregnancy and I was successful but it was a hellish few days. We are all pretty much over it now and getting back to normal.
Alyssa and I headed back down to Federal Way to hang out with another very good friend and her kids. We were supposed to go to the aguarium but circumstances didn't allow us to and since I was already on the road just decided to drive down there. Which after getting into a traffic mess took me a little over 2 hours. UGH! Anyways we had a good visit and lunch with them as always.
Cory and I have been trying to enjoy the last couple of days of nice weather we will have until who knows when. We have been going to the parks with Alyssa and Harley and letting them play which has been a blast. Harley went swimming for the first time and Im not sure what he thought of it but he didn't go back in. Alyssa was having a blast playing on all the equipment and of course swinging. She was also collecting rocks and branches. It's so fun taking her to places now and watching her discover things.
As far as anything else we have several things planned in the up coming months which I am excited about. Baby Deuce is doing good. I have been feeling lots of movement and have a ton of energy back, thankgoodness! We should be finding out the sex within the next month and we can't wait!
