Kayak

Cory and I were feeling couped up and the other day when the sun came out we headed to one of our favorite parks with the family, Kayak Park. This is where we usually head out to go crabbing and enjoy having picnics in the summer here. Cory took Harley down by the water and let him pull and chase driftwood and the bigger the better for him. Harley thinks he's a mule or something. He was pretty worn out. Alyssa and I went down by the water but didn't stay long because it was pretty windy and cold so we headed back up to the park where she played and even made a friend. There was a little girl there who was enjoying playing with Alyssa. I tried to get video of Alyssa giggling on the swing. It's so funny. She loves to swing. I can't wait until the weather starts getting warmer to spend more time there. Like any kid Alyssa loves the park! She was playing on the slide trying to climb up it and of course couldn't because of how slick it was but was trying anyways.

She is becoming very sassy and talking back. Well I should say she only talks back to me! She will do something that she is not supposed to and when I tell her not to do it or redirect her she turns around and blabs something and turns back and does it again. When daddy tells her not to she looks at him, smiles and off she goes to do something else. I tell you this is going to be frustrating if this continues!
We went down and had a play date with my good friend Michelle who just had another baby boy, Cole, who is just so adorable! Alyssa and Mason love playing together and are so much fun to watch. Mason is two years old and is so very cute with Alyssa. He shows her how to play with the toys. He is going to be a fabulous big brother! I wished they lived closer to us because Michelle has now decided to stay at home full time and we have been good friends since high school.
I think Cory and I have decided to go down to the Dunes in Oregon for our anniversary and ride the quads. Neither one of us has been there before and we have been wanting to go forever. So I'm pretty excited for that. I am getting excited for Opening Day. I love baseball and love going to the games. It's going to be interesting how the Mariner's do with Griffey back but it doesn't matter to me I just love the game. I can't wait for the Aqua Sox to start up in June either. We will be going to a lot of those games, especially since they are approx. 5 minutes away! We have a busy week coming up with appointments and G. Gail is coming up for a few days to spend with Alyssa and us. We are going to try and find some fun things to do. I'm hoping the weather will be nice so we can go to the zoo and the park! Pray to the weather Gods!!!!! Well I hope everyone enjoys the videos I'm posting. I'm sure some of them might be boring and only a mother could enjoy but I thought some might like to see, so bare with me!!!!

Not on my watch.....

Things around here have kind of been quite lately. The family got sick and were out for about a week and than Cory threw his back out shortly after that. Ugh back pain, not fun at all!!!! He is almost back to normal. He is still in some pain but not nearly as much as when he first did it. The other day I had a girls day out. I took my good friend Stacey out for her birthday and we got lunch, pedi's, and a movie. It was some great girl time!

Cory was at home with Alyssa and I guess she got into a fight with her rocking horse twice and the second time the horse won. Cory saw her role on the floor with it and started crying and she got up and left the area and that's when he noticed blood all over her chin and on the carpet. He couldn't find or see what had happened. He knew the blood was coming from her mouth but couldn't find where. So he cradled her for a few until she stopped crying and bleeding and she was off again and in good spirits. I got home minutes later and she was laughing and playing and having a grand time. I checked her out and it looks like she got cut on her gums right above one of her eye teeth. The tooth is fine and she is fine so that is the main thing. I'm definitely glad it happened when Cory was home because I don't know what I would have done seeing the blood from my little angel.

Not too much else is going on. I'm taking Alyssa to a free class at the Little Gym to see what it's like, hopefully she enjoys it. From the sounds of it, it sounds like a fun class. They do lots of movement and signing and it's a full class. Which will make a huge difference from the last one that I went to. I'm also planning on getting her back into swim lessons. It was a lot of fun, a lot of work, but good for her.

She has been doing a funny thing lately and walking like a crab or what we call her crab walk. I think she is doing it when her knees get sore from the carpet/floor. It's pretty funny. She has also taking a liking to dancing. She loves to shake her toosh whenever there is music on. Especially when we watch American Idol. Although some of the contestants she seems bored with, which I don't blame her at all!
We all went down to Longview this last week. I went and saw the production of Wicked. It was fantastic! It's so unbelievable the talent that those people have! Everything was wonderful, story, costumes, performance and seats! Thanks Amanda, those were great! Not much else is going on except planning our anniversary get away and Cory's golf trip to Arizona and mine to Nevada in May.
